    Chocolate Smoothie Bowl

    Chocolate and almond butter are probably two of my favourite foods, so inspired by my love of this flavor combination I have created this rich chocolatey, nutty smoothie bowl. You know I am one of the biggest lovers of smoothie bowls and I love whipping up nourishing bowls packed full of nutritious whole food ingredients, each with a different flavour twist. I have to say this chocolate and nutty smoothie bowl might just be one of my all time favourites. They are the perfect way to start the day, enjoy as a midday pick me up or  even a end of the day treat. Enjoy x

    Ingredients: Serves 2

    3 frozen banana
    2 Tbsp cacao powder
    1 Tbsp almond butter (or nut butter of your choice)
    3 pitted dates
    1/3 avocado
    1 tsp pure vanilla extract
    1/2 cup almond milk
    Toppings:
    1 banana sliced
    1/3 cup freeze dried raspberries
    2 tsp of almond butter
    1/4 cup chopped almonds
    1/3 cup coconut flakes
    1/4 cup sweet cacao nibs
    2 chocolate bliss balls
    Add all ingredients into a high speed blender and process and until smooth and thick.
    Pour into a bowl.
    Add sliced banana, a dollop of almond butter, a chocolate bliss ball and sprinkle over the remaining ingredients.
